    It includes callus debridement, nail reduction and corn removal, with additional luxuries such as steam, paraffin wax, a heel mask, and nourishing serums and oils, all tailored to your foot health.

Fungal Nails

  • We recommend a course of 5 sessions within 5 weeks for the best results. Your initial appointment includes a full assessment and a personalised treatment plan. Some clients may require ongoing maintenance sessions depending on the severity of their condition. We'll talk you through this as we go.

  • The K-Laser uses two mechanisms often in combination to clear fungal infection. Every session is customised by your podiatrist based on your presentation, so the wavelengths and settings are never one-size-fits-all.

    Photobiomodulation - think red light therapy - stimulates blood flow, oxygen delivery, and immune response at the treatment site, while promoting skin cell regeneration and healthy new nail growth to replace what's been infected.

    Selective photothermolysis uses targeted thermal energy to destroy fungal cells. Because fungal tissue absorbs heat differently to healthy tissue, the laser can target the infection precisely without damaging the surrounding nail or skin.

    The laser does the work. The podiatrist makes sure it's doing the right work.

  • No. Most clients describe it as a mild warmth or a brief flick of heat. No anaesthetic required, and you can go about your day straight after.

  • Thickened, discoloured, or brittle nails are the most common signs - but the only way to know for sure is to have it properly assessed.

  • Fungal nail treatment works with your nail's natural growth cycle, so results are gradual and vary depending on how fast your nails grow. Most clients start to see healthy nail growing through within 3 months.

  • Nail polish needs to be removed before each session as it prevents the laser from reaching the nail properly. We recommend keeping nails bare throughout your laser treatment course.

    If you have an event on, that's fine - just opt for a good quality polish and remove it as soon as the event is over.

  • Honestly, it can - anyone can pick up a fungal infection at any time. But that's exactly why seeing a podiatrist matters.

    Across your treatment sessions, we take the time to really understand your lifestyle - your footwear, environment, activity, and daily habits - and work through anything that may be putting you at risk. That education is part of the treatment, not an afterthought.

  • Life happens. Just let us know and we'll get you back on track.

    Try to rebook as soon as possible. Consistent spacing between sessions gives you the best results - gaps can slow progress, but they don't undo what's been done.

  • No. At-home devices are low-powered and not clinically proven to clear fungal nail infections. We use a Class IV medical-grade laser - a significantly higher power class that is clinically effective, and operated by a qualified podiatrist who can assess and monitor your progress at every visit.

    It's not the same tool, and it's not the same result.

KeryFlex Nail Repair

  • KeryFlex is a medical-grade nail restoration system applied by a podiatrist. A flexible resin is layered and shaped over your natural nail or nail bed to create a durable, natural-looking nail while what's underneath recovers.

    One thing worth knowing: at least 10–20% of the natural nail needs to be present for the resin to adhere properly. We'll assess this at your appointment.

  • Anyone with a damaged, thickened, discoloured, or missing nail who wants a natural-looking result while the nail recovers. It's particularly well-suited for nails affected by trauma, fungal infection, or nails that just won't grow back the way they used to.

  • No. KeryFlex is a medical-grade resin - purpose-built for nail repair. Unlike acrylic or gel, it's flexible and breathable, and designed to move with your natural nail without causing damage.

  • Most clients come back every 8-10 weeks for a refresh. As your natural nail grows, we adjust or reapply as needed, depending on the rate of nail growth which is varied from person to person.

  • Yes. KeryFlex is shaped and buffed to match your other nails. You can see examples of before and after KeryFlex application on our KeryFlex Page.
    Most people won't know it's not your natural nail.

  • Yes, once applied, Keryflex can be polished as normal. We'd recommend sticking to regular polish rather than gel or shellac. If you'd like it done for you, there's a nail salon just two doors up from our clinic who can take care of that.
    Also - avoid acetone-based removers as these can break down the resin over time. A non-acetone remover is all you need to remove polish.

  • Not at all. The application is completely pain-free. KeryFlex bonds to the nail surface without drilling or filing down the natural nail bed.

    It protects what's underneath - it doesn't harm it.

  • It keeps growing - and that's the point. KeryFlex is breathable and flexible, so it doesn't interfere with your nail's recovery. We monitor progress at each appointment and adjust accordingly.

  • It depends on what you're trying to achieve. If you just need it looking good for an event, like a wedding this weekend, we can apply Keryflex regardless of the fungal infection. But if your goal is actually clearing the fungus, applying Keryflex over it isn't the right move, it just creates a good environment for the fungus to keep growing underneath.

    This is where an Initial Podiatry Consultation should be booked so we can properly assess the nail, confirm whether it's fungal, and build a treatment plan around what you actually want to achieve.

  • Your KeryFlex kit - which includes the bonding agent, resin, and sealant - is yours alone. We never share kits between clients.

    Because many clients getting KeryFlex are also managing a fungal nail infection, using the same kit across multiple people would pose a genuine cross-contamination risk. Your personalised kit keeps everything hygienic, safe, and clinically appropriate.

    Your kit is stored at the clinic for use at future appointments. On average, one kit covers around 8 toenails, though this varies depending on the size of the nail being repaired. You can repurchase a new kit once yours runs out.

Ingrown Nails (brace/surgery)

  • Item description

  • That's exactly what your Initial Podiatry appointment is for. We'll assess the nail, talk through your history, and recommend the least invasive option that's likely to work. Conservative management or bracing is always considered first, surgery is reserved for cases that keep recurring or aren't responding to other treatment.

  • The procedure itself is performed under local anaesthetic, so you shouldn't feel pain during treatment. Some tenderness afterwards is normal as it heals. Most people are back to normal footwear and activity within a couple of weeks, we'll give you specific aftercare advice based on your procedure.

  • It varies from person to person, since it depends on how the nail is growing and how it responds. Most people need more than one application over time, it's a gradual process rather than a once-off fix. We'll track your progress and let you know what to expect along the way.

  • Yes. If we're removing a portion of the nail, that section won't regrow, but the remaining nail continues to grow as normal. We'll walk you through exactly what to expect for your specific procedure.

Warts (verruca)

  • They're actually the same thing, a verruca is simply the medical term for a wart that appears on the sole of the foot. Both are caused by the same virus (HPV), just different strains affecting different areas of skin.

  • There are several treatment options depending on the wart's size, location, and how long it's been there, we'll assess it and recommend what's likely to be most effective. Some discomfort during treatment is common, but we'll always talk you through what to expect beforehand.

  • Yes, warts are contagious and spread through direct contact or contaminated surfaces, communal showers, pools, and gym floors are common places to pick one up. It's very common and nothing to feel embarrassed about.

  • It varies depending on the wart's size, age, and how your body responds to treatment. Some clear up after just a few sessions, others take longer. We'll reassess at each visit and let you know how things are progressing.

General FAQs

  • Yes, please arrive with bare nails, free of shellac and artificial products. If shellac/gel or acrylic nail removal is needed on the day, this can be accommodated for an additional $40, though it will reduce the time available for your treatment. Normal polish is fine and can be removed free of charge.

  • Item description

  • Yes! We process private health claims on the spot via HICAPS. Bring your private health card to your appointment. Alternatively, we can provide your receipt for you to self-claim if you prefer. Rebate amounts vary depending on your fund and level of cover.

  • No referral needed, simply book online and choose the service that best suits you. If your GP has provided a referral or care plan, you may be entitled to a Medicare rebate. We recommend discussing this with your GP beforehand, and ensuring any relevant paperwork is in order prior to your appointment.

  • We ask for 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. This helps us keep appointments available for other clients. Late cancellations, late arrivals, and no-shows will result in the loss of your booking deposit.

  • We're located at 13 Izett Street, Prahran, inside Sanctuary. Street parking is available on Izett St and surrounding streets, with both 1 and 2 hour options available. Undercover parking is also available nearby at Woolworths for a small fee.
